I love these threads...

Here's Galena. I rescued this pooch a few years ago from abusive owners. She's now living happily with a family in Missouri (and is spoiled rotten from what I'm told).

Thanks for rescuing! She looks to be making herself right at home.

Here's Willow... We got her from the SPCA when she was 10-12 weeks old. She'll be 2 years old sometime near the end of August. She's an absolutely awesome dog!

Taking a little nap her first week home...

Willow and my old roommate's dog Lilly taking a nap after a long day of playing...

Here she is at a couple months old. Her ears were floppy when we got her, but as she got older they started perking up...

Happy dog at the lake house...

....

Adorable dogs! Hahaha Bean is so cute, and the name is awesome!

my big boy Luke he's about 6 years old we woke up one morning and found him sitting on our front porch and took him in, he's been a great addition to the family and really intimidates visitors with his size. He's part Rot/Lab/New Foundland he weighs like 125lbs lol

this is Sami aka Sami JoJo shes 4 we got her from the pound when she was a puppy, not really sure what kind she is I guess some kind of spaniel maybe?? She's the biggest goof ball ever and refuses to go to bed unless she's laying on top of you lol

this is Sakban some guys took her in off the streets of Iraq and named her after an insurgent they captured, not sure what she is pry some kind of Lab, sadly I think she was killed by debris and what not after a VBIED hit the patrol base where she was at

this is Battle, again not sure what she is pry some kind of Sheppard perhaps...she was another dog that we brought into one of our patrol bases off the streets in Iraq, we showed her some love and she gave it right back to us by walking on patrols with us mostly up front with the point man. From what I was told to on some missions she actually found and warned the guys of IEDS and other things.

this is Socks, yet again another dog the we had at another patrol base...don't know too much about her but she was always there ready to greet you when you came to the base lol

I know I've posted pictures of the dogs before in another thread but I'll show 'em again!!

This is my dog Casey, Husky/Chow mix:

Husbands dog Harley, Australian Cattle Dog (ACD)/Rottweiler mix:

This past winter with all the snow we got, we had to dig them a path to the woods to go potty otherwise they would have been pooping in the driveway!!

Both are rescued dogs. Casey was abandoned and nearly starved to death in Kotzebue, Alaska. The shelter in Cordova had her for 6 months and she was still extremely thin when we got her. As you can see, she's doing well now! She's now about 8 years old.

Harley was on his way to euthinasia when an ACD rescue society took him in and my husband found him from them. Harley is about 7.
