First Time In Alabama

I've never been in Alabama before today. I've noticed that you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a lake around here.

Other than Bass, what kind of fish are in these lakes? I'm here on business this time but I'm thinking that the next trip will be with a boat in tow.

Bass is probably your best bet in Alabama. My dad used to fish the Warrior River when we lived in Birmingham. I remember going there a lot as a little guy...It's a beautiful place

Crappie, Bream, Rainbow Trout, Pike, Walleye, and Yellow Perch. And I'm sure you will have no trouble finding some catfish.

Green 98 should be able to tell you about any fish species there is... he's over there at COW COLLEGE. There's lots of good fishing a little ways away from him but you'll have to back track to the west a little. Sardis, Enid, and Grenada lakes there in MS are full of all of the above.

Academically, Auburn may be a wonderful school. But when it comes to the SEC, I have two favorite teams: Ole Miss, and ANYBODY playing Auburn.

I hate Ole Miss and Alabama....we play them both in 2 and 3 weeks from now in rugby. Even though Ole Miss beats us every time, it's fun to put some hurtin' into them. Im also an Auburn fan, being that my sister and I are the only ones in our family that didn't graduate from Auburn...we're the outcasts I guess.

Back on subject, I havn't had a chance to fish much here...Ive only been in Starkville since August...Im in graduate school so I dont have much time to fish.

GO STATE!!

Used to do alot of fishing down on the Chattahoochee and Lake Harding as a kid. Now I cast out into Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley.

Enjoy your time in Alabama.
