Ron Paul

I personally really like the guy...
That said I have a hard time understanding the details of politics. All I hear about right now is Hillary and Obama. Is Ron more or less a lost hope, how is he doing? Should I shut up and we will know more tonight?

And you are only hearing about Hillary and Obama so much because the Democratic candidate to run for President hasn't been decided yet, like it has for the Republicans. Plus it's a close race. After tonight, you won't hear as much about both because Hillary will be done, more than likely.

This is true, but even among all the Hillary Obama talk I still heard about Mccain. Just didn't know if Paul was toast or just wasn't big enough news to discuss

short answer: you hear about clinton and obama as well as mccain because mccain has all but won the republican nomination, and the democratic nomination is a very close race between clinton and obama...so the primary elections will result in mccain on the republican ticket and either clinton or obama on the democratic ticket in november...

the longer answer has to do with the shared characteristics of the general u.s. population and a herd of sheep

Why bring the troops home? We're not at war anywhere (technically). And in the combat theaters that do exist, we're there without a declaration of war from Congress (something required to wage war by the Constitution).

What has the war on drugs accomplished, really. We have a HUGE illegal narcotics industry. If drugs were legalized you could regulate them for purity (making them safer, in a sense, than street drugs that are NOT pure) and tax them. If drugs are to be illegal alcohol, tobacco, and a flurry of other vices should be, too.

The FBI, CIA, Homeland Security ... yeah, that's extreme. I do agree with abolishing them all, but only to create one organization that can work more effectively.

IRS abolishment? DO IT! Then institute a fair tax that everyone can do on their own and understand. When I'm 21 and have a hard time doing my own taxes we're all screwed, granted my taxes are significantly more complicated than the average American's (not just my own age group, the average American).

It sounds like YOU'RE the ultra liberal whack job that is for U.S. world policing, huge & wasteful government, and a facist government that takes our earnings to redistribute them to "those who need it more." I'm willing to say Obama and Clinton are too conservative for you, right?

This all sounds like BS to me. He never had a chance.

This sounds like the Prime Minister of France talking..

The argument's Moot, He never had a chance...

I assume YOU will be voting for Obama or Hillary then? McCain wants to have a permanant presence in Iraq.. Most Conservatives are for Stiffer Drug laws. Most Conservatives want MORE clandestine intelligence agencies and "Patriot Acts" to over see their people and "protect" us. Most Conservatives are for Larger Militaries with a BIGGER presense throughout the world...

I just can't see how this guy was considered a "Conservative"...

Even Rush Limbaugh thought he was a Liberal. Read the Transcript:

Why even waste your time CrAz3D? Mr. Hibbs is apparently a product of the mainstream media. He believes everything he hears on tv rather than doing a little research for himself. Calling Ron Paul a liberal should've been an instant tip-off. Just give him time. Eventually all the sheeple will get tired of being screwed over by government and robbed by lending practices of the federal reserve. Maybe one day in the near future, people will quit pissing themselves with fear, stand up for the rights they don't realize they're losing and learn what's really going on out there. Until then, continue to educate yourself to keep yourself one step ahead.

Heh heh, ME, Close Minded, that's funny. What points did I make were wrong??

I never said I supported all of the Patriot act. I just thought this was the "thinking" of Most "Conservatives" as they're the ones Fighting so hard to protect ALL of it these days. I listen to these Fights on CSPAN, not the Mass Media btw...

I just brought up some points to get you thinking. If Obama was running around saying we need to bring ALL troops home from around the world he be called a LIberal Whack Job. Am I wrong???
