Shift work, who does it?

My shift just changed, I"m going graveyard for 10 months. 11-7.

It's only suppose to be 2 months but I'm going to a part time police academy so I'm sticking to graveyard for 10 months.

Work in telecom. I have 8 guys that work for me on 2 night shifts. Our maintenance window is from midnight to 05:00 so they work 10-6.

They rotate 3 weeks on days, 1 week on nights. I did it for 6 years like that. Best part was when wireless was building out, you worked 8-5 and then 10-6 in the same day for the OT.

I have been working shift for about two months! I work 6:30 to 6:30! Two weeks day's and two weeks nights! The good part though is that the most I work is 3 day's straight so it's not that bad but I still get 84 hours on my check in two weeks time!
