I think you'd be fine as the minimum for an 8600GT in terms of amperage is 18a if I remember correctly.


Just one last thing, if you purchase an EVGA card don't forget to print out your invoice from Newegg (or wherever you buy it) and go to the EVGA site and register online with the serial number on the card etc. so you get the Lifetime Warranty on it. EVGA has the most flexible warranty also and really quick RMA times, as long as you register right away.
