I usually pound the orange juice and take some Zicam if I catch it early enough. Right now I'm dealing with a cough I've had for 2 weeks and can't seem to get rid of, and it's really starting to **** me off

I would suggest taking aspirin for the headache, fever, and body aches but don't just swallow it with a glass of water. Let it dissolve in your mouth. The aspirin will do the throat a lot of good. Drink lots of liquids high in citrus acid like REAL lemonade or orange juice. The acid will take care of the throat. Take zinc tabs and you'll be over it in three days or sooner. Zinc doesn't cure anything but like we say in the country, it sours the milk, meaning the germs/bacteria won't stay around it. Any kind of anti-histamaine will help like Benadryl. Benadryl should be in everybodys medicine cabinet. It will reduce any muscle swelling from sickness or injury. It will keep someone from dying from a wasp sting if they are allergic. It will help with your headache and body aches.

Hot Toddy. Old Irish remedy. My wife drinks these before bed when she is sick. I included a video on how to make, just follow the steps and add lemon and use Jameson whisky. They are pretty nasty but they work. Some say to get under the blankets after you drink it and sweat it out.

Also for a sore throat, a shot of whiskey with some pepper dashed in works wonders. If you go this route, take a shot for me!
Thanks SMIGGS, I will try the Wiskey shot when I get off work, already jacked up on Nyquill. If it's past the due date you get a nice buzz

Funny you mentioned airborne. Me and my wife just took a vacation down to Mexico and she bought some airborne for the plane. Well she pulled it out about a hour and a half before we boarded the plane. She handed me the package and I took one of the tablets. What I did not relize is these things were fizzes and had to be mixed with water, like alka seltzer. Man I'll tell you it was a interesting couple of minutes, considering these tablets are pretty big. It was nasty..I guess i should have read the directions :o
