Question Great Pacific Garbage Patch

Does anyone know anything about this? The only thing I know is that it is twice the size of Texas.

Ya, I was reading all about it... Just wondering if you guys ever heard of it.

I could only imagine the $$ it would cost if a luxury liner went through that.

I'd be happy if I was the mechanic fixing it though... I'd make some greenbacks off fixing the props.

Just as a side note... I know how badly fishing line can destroy the drive components of boat engines. When we had our Searay, somehow we got fishline stuck around the prop. It took us forever to get to shore! The boat had a Mercruiser v8 with like 300hp, and it wrapped around the shaft and cut up some o-rings and junk... Man it was a MESS. But the boat acted like it had a trolling motor on it because it was messing with the prop.

That's what an airboat is for...riding over the excrement of a peninsula. Ok, that's a stretch, but I digress...
