New Car

I know... these type of threads are useless without pics but I finally got my new car yesterday. Goodbye F150 Hello 2008 Fusion Black/Black interior. Moon and Tune package, Microsoft Sync, I4 5 speed. I only wish they made the V6 in a 6 speed, I'd like the 6th gear in mine too. I can't complain though 29mpg rated highway as is.

Big blizzard here today, probably same tomorrow. I'll get some pics on monday, it goes back to the dealership for tint and another detail job (so they can scotchguard the cloth and carpet). I'll get a pic or two when she's all pretty.

No more F150? Sucks. For what it's worth the Fusion are awesome cars, how's the sync?

Oh yeah... the sync. It absolutely rocks. I'm still learning how to use it, but its probably my favorite part of the car.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the last time I saw a new Fusion with the showroom, I noticed the Synced cars didn't have a screen to tell you what track and radio station you were listening to, did I just not see it?

In the cars without navigation, such as mine, the information comes up on the small screen on the radio. Personally, it gives enough information for me. I could see how it would be nicer to have the big navigation screen though. I just can't see paying $2800 for them to add the navigation on for me.

Thanks everybody. I really like the car. It was doing fine with about 3-4 inches of fresh powder on the ground today. I do kind of miss the F150 though.

Thanks for the offer JBMX... I'll let you know when I get some pics.

Enjoy -- if I needed a new car right now, I'd definitely be taking a good hard look at a V6 Fusion!

I looked at a V6 Fusion similarly priced to mine. But the killer for me was the V6 is only available in an automatic. I haven't had a manual transmission in years and have been missing it. But let me tell you the V6 with the 6 speed auto really moves.
