Can a Christian judge a non Christian?

Matthew 7:1-2
Do Not Judge
1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

Thank you guys for pushing me to answer some of your questions. You heathens love to quote Matthew 7:1...“Judge not, that you be not judged". It angers you that I say you will go to hell, and that my Bible tells me that I should not judge you.

Matthew 7:2 says "For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged". I judge your condemnation based on...

John 14:6-8
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”

I can quote you many more scriptures that back Christs statement...but you have seen them.

Since I judge you (and make the statement that you will go to hell) by whether or not you know Christ...This is how I will be judged. I know Christ, and He knows me! I have no worries

Thank you guys! Your attempts at getting me to question my faith, has only made it stronger. Searching for scripture has been a blessing.

Um, since when do we get to judge and determine who goes to hell and who doesn't? All we can do is point to the scripture and say that this is the road to salvation and it's up to the individual person as to whether they wish to follow that road.

The Bible states in no uncertain terms that no human is the judge of any other human. God and the Holy Son are the only ones who would judge those who seek entry to Heaven.

The more you talk and twist the words of Christ to suit your own ends makes you a false prophet.

Did anyone else hear that boat that just went by? Didn't you hear it's horn?........................................BBBBB BBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINN NNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG.

Preaching about you're faith and rubbing it in others faces makes you just as annoying as a door to door jahova's witness. Nobody cares.

Wrong. Jesus said that he was not sent here to judge, but to save.

Read more, write less.

You're right, but you need to keep on going in the NT to the book of Revelation. There you will see that He is indeed coming back to GASPPPP ......JUDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus came to satisfy the Law, and then to JUDGE all who don't accept His death on a cross for our sins in JUDGEMENT of that.

To say that Christians aren't to judge others is stupidity. It's the way that we go about it that we must be careful of. If we didn't point out to people that their transgressions against God's law are taking them to hell, then by what standard do we preach? Love? That's not what Jesus taught. He taught that we are to tell people that they are sinners, but that He has paid the price for those sins.

"Study to show thyself approved unto God. A worker who needeth not be ashamed. RIGHTLY dividing the Word of TRUTH."

Still, it's awefully hard to evangelize on a message board. I think that Christians should use the time they post here for personal evangelism in a one on one type environment, but I appreciate the heart that Shine is showing here.

BLESSINGS!!!!

no matter whats its the internet and a forum at that. to have a decent conversation on here without anything turning into a brawl / argument is unlikely.

everything from tone, attitude etc cannot be received or given through text. its just pointless for either side to argue or try and make points as nothing is being done other then lose of time and frustration.

Actually, if you want to be technical about it, in Matthew, Jesus specifically instructs his disciples to "Go forth into all the world, and preach the good news to all creation."

So, either deal with it or don't come in the thread. Seriously, you knew this thread was about religion just from the title. I did. I came in because religion and theology fascinate me. If they anger you, then don't come in. Pretty simple.

Hey I think I hear your doorbell ringing, better go get it.

Well in all reality people shouldn't judge others, especially Christians. There is a saying preach the Gospel and use words if necessary. Christians should leave the judging to God.

Also I have seen many discussions on faith and religion on internet forums and they usually lead nowhere and do nothing but make people angry.
