Why then, would one savvy cameraman be able to capture a brace of brand new Dodge Challengers, hanging out on Roush’s front stoop? It’s awfully hard to argue with this photographic evidence, but we wouldn’t want to jump to any conclusions. We would however, like to close our eyes for a moment and imagine the accelerative power of a Roushcharged 6.1-liter Hemi.

Toyota's already toying around with theidea of a 481 HP 5.7L Tundra. Can you imagine Roush massaging something that already has nearly 500 HP right off the showroom floor?
I'm not a big fan of his work on the Mustang, but the Roush F-150's from circa 1999 were NICE.... Deion Sanders bought one I saw at Middlekauf Ford, just hours before I got there. He took delivery later that day.

Mathematically- given the idea that a SC can increase HP by (up to) 50%, that engine would be (theoretically) capable of 571 HP. That's insane... Then again, didn't that Ram SRT-10 have 500 HP?
Maybe it's not insane...
I'm a fan of pure, normally aspirated HP.
Don't get me wrong, superchargers and turbos have their place, but- if I could get a car with 500 NA HP, or one with 600 that was supercharged or turbo'd, I'll take the NA HP.
No whine (Supercharger) and no lag (turbo).
I wouldn't say Roush products are sub par but the tune on a Roushcharged vehicle is a bit on the mild side. You can't blame them. They don't want to lose reliability when the factory warranty is still covered.A good tuner could easily get some more horsepower out of a Roushcharged vehicle but the warranty and possibly the reliabilty would go out the window. It would be nice if these modular engines had lower compression and forged internals, then you could throw more boost at them.
Roush sells products for more money than the competition which are of less quality as well, IMO. The Roushcharger on almost every single vehicle is one of the most reliable but also one of the worst superchargers. Eats up the most power, puts out lousy numbers (Tuned properly, it puts out "okay" numbers.) I just don't like any of their products. The fitment is GREAT but what do you expect from the company who receives all of the test mule vehicles before any other mfg. I just wish Roush would go back to their roots and start selling AMAZING products instead of marketing the name and selling it .. like I said, it's just my opinion.
