So I was in the ford dealership, waiting on my financing to go through and I asked about the new Tundra on the lot. It was used but looked brand new. The salesman told me that some guy came in with his wife to look at a car for her. He was bragging about his tundra and how fast he can pull his boat or something to that effect. Well the salesman took him over to the truth about trucks demo area and showed him a couple things about how the F150 was a better truck. The guy was still unconvinced but was willing to watch the DVD at home. A week later he came in and traded his tundra on a F150.

I don't know how much of that was exaggerated, it was after all a car salesman talking. But another salesman overheard part of the story and told me about the FX4 he sold the guy.

My father is/was a hardcore ford guy....even threatened to disown me when i bought my first dodge. Now he is driving a 07 GMC 3500 and after driving my tundra he is wishing toyota made a 1 ton big enough to tow his 5th wheel.

You wont change the minds of most mid westerners and you cant really blame them for being narrow minded as they were raised and taught they the big 3 are the only ones supporting their families with jobs.

I have a feeling the story was true, especially after he saw the bed bounce vid:

Damn it JBMX! Now I'm finding myself spending more time on the Tundra board.

I like this one guy's response in the "Possible Tundra Bed Bounce CURE FOUND" thread.

It freaks me out when it starts to shake -- at certain speeds on certain roads, that don't even have to be that bad, it will really start to shake like crazy. Other than that, it has a fantastic ride for a big truck.

Well I guess our moderator named RockPick is a jerk, too.

Why don't you PM him and tell him what you think.
