Quarter of Brits think Churchill was myth

Nearly one quarter of Brits think Winston Churchill was a myth, but 58% believe Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional detective Holmes actually existed. Seems like poor dental hygeine isn't their only issue!

Tell those same Brits to ask their Grandparents who Churchill was or how London damn near got obliterated from the Luftwaffe air bombings and who was it that helped them NOT have to learn German!! The same ones that kept the French speaking French!

Yeah, we have lots of in-bred homies too

I should imagine that it was a lot of young people that were asked.
A lot of our history isn't taught at schools now for fear of offending different groups.
For example, a lot of WW2 was dropped for because of the Holocaust denial that is prevalent in the Muslim communities.

And this is exactly the perpose of socialism... breed stupid people, keep them uneducated and make them need government.... that is were we are headed in America when mrs. bill clinton gets elected. To say it any other way or to justify it at all is just part of the stupid program.

Years ago, after I got out of Texas Tech, I substitute taught in Jr High. Dunno why, but I conducted a poll with some eighth graders...None of the thirty in the class had any inkling who Jesse Owens was...

Surpised?

What reason would an eight-grader have to know who J.O was?

So becuase Jessie Owens was an African-American athlete, you expected a bunch of eighth-graders, who, by your account, were predominantly African-American, to know who he was, based purely on racial similarity, correct?
