He's sitting on the bus headed to Ft. Leonard Wood... Actually, he should be there by now...

Yes, I would venture to guess that he is being asked to disembark the bus by now...

Ah yes. Missouri must be about 3 inches lower by now.

"Beat your face, private"

Such good times in his future.

I hope he didn't buy the recruiters story about those 'time-out' cards at basic.

Those things don't work.
I won't say what the DI did with mine.

(to this day I still have square farts)

Good luck man. Right now you are probably sitting in the Reception Batallion getting everything issued to you and being stuck in each arm about 5 times with shots, waiting to go down range. Then there is the "shark attack" which I hear has gotten kind of weak in the last few years.
Just do what your suppose to, don't volunteer, and don't look at the Drill Sergeants.
Ft. Leaonardwood is one of the worst bases to be at as far as off post activities go. I remember a strip club though. Are you going for M.P.??

he's got a few days at reception first... or should. There's some in-processing to be done. I think I sat in reception for a week while they filled out my training cycle. Still, we only had enough recruits to make up a platoon... the rest of the barracks were empty.

A Co. 5/15th Cav, Fort Knox KY. SCOUTS OUT!!!!

Jwool, I hope that shoulder of yours doesn't give you trouble at BC. Keep your chin up bud.

anyone want to take a stab at what his first screw up will be? I think he'll either call a Drill "Sir" (a no-no in the Army) or get caught "eyeballing" a Drill.

That's what I did. I got caught looking at a Drill. It was kinda funny because when he came down the line to yell at me, he was shorter than I am so I lost sight of him when he was standing in front of me. All I saw was about a half inch of the top of his campaign hat bobbing and weaving.

John won't have the height problem.
