Freezing Beer?
Freezing Beer?
I poked around on Google... and couldn't really find an answer to this.
I accidently put a Rolling Rock in my freezer... so, I came back later, finding out it was frozen... no biggie... I put it out on the counter, and let it unfreeze.
I popped it open... and started drinking it. I happened to notice that there is this like beige color items at the bottom of the beer bottle. I'm not sure if it is yeast or what...
When I froze it, did the yeast separate?
My biggest concern, is it ok to drink? Or should I just throw it away?
Here's a crappy pic... but you get the point.

Most of what I've read, and seat of the stomach feelings are that optimum temperatures for serving cold beer are 34-38 F (1-3 C). Warm beer (45+ degrees) has a foamy head that changes the taste of the beer.
Throw out the beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You people should be ashamed of yourselves!!!!!
Just mix it in with a new 12 pack and you won't know which it is anymore and you will never know the difference.
Throw it out the window????....what's this world coming to.
I have have beers rolling around in the bed of my truck for 3 months even in the summer and then eventually stuck them back in the fridge, they eventually get drank and they still taste great!
The only problem with frozen beer is that it won't pour out into your mouth.

We froze some beer once at a race... one of the ice-cream vendors had left some dry ice on the ground so we threw it in our cooler... the beers directly under it froze. But you only freeze the water content, not the alcohol. So the first one we opened and drank was insanely strong.
It was hilarious though... we had to pull about 5 beers out and set them on the row in front of us to thaw out... it was about 95 that day. Everyone thought we were crazy.
These were cans though, so I'm not sure about stuff in the bottom.
My guess is you precipitated some of the minerals & whatnot in the beer. With really hard water you will see the same thing in ice cubes. As they melt some little white flakes fall out.
