So we are supposed to believe that .34% of the atmosphere that is carbon dioxide is causing the earth to warm huh? we best start treating it like it is radio active then, if it is that powerful. A far bigger greenhouse effect is caused by water vapor. To think man is causing global warming is so arrogant. And besides, who is to say what is the "normal" temp of the earth? l

WENDY FLATUS Says:

"My husband has been producing copious amounts of 'greenhouse gases' for years, but the temperature in the house has not changed."

Change is the only thing that doesn't change.

So, the Discovery Channel is running a program on China's Mega Dam. According to the program The Three Gorges Dam will create a 400 mile long reservoir so massive it is expected to change the rotation of the earth and lengthen days. The reservoir is expected to reach filled capacity in 2009.

Wouldn't common sense say this would have an effect on global weather patterns?

oops... my mistake. One site I was looking at says the atmospheric CO2 is actually .033%. Now how can anybody with a straight face claim that that amount is changing the world climate? Paaallllleeeeeeaaaase. Get real. Here is another interesting quote from that site....

"In addition to being a component of the atmosphere, carbon dioxide also dissolves in the water of the oceans. At room temperature, the solubility of carbon dioxide is about 90 cm3 of CO2 per 100 mL of water. In aqueous solution, carbon dioxide exists in many forms. First, it simply dissolves."

So unless I am wrong, the surface area of the oceans should be increasing if we beleive the alarmists about he polar ice cap melting.. so more surface area will disolve more CO2 right? So earth is balancing itself? In a year or two, the stupidity of the global warming movement will come crashing down. Hopefully the socialist libs won't ruin us before then. That is all this is about: a power grab by liberals.

I have looked at various sites on the subject and it appears that about every thing that is on earth is said to contribute to global warming in some way. We are doomed forever and going the way of the dinosaur.

In time it will be something else. Remember the "Cold War?" You guys may be too young. I am not.

The other thing that has scarce reporting is that the carbon output of wood burning is the same as if the wood was left to rot in the forest. Yet our wonderful government (NOT) in washington state are trying to ban even camp fires. The insanity has to end! Carbon is a natural element of the earth. We can't increase a finite amount. It is a cycle of carbon/oxygen/growth/death/carbon. It is the life cycle.

Man, I won't be able to be cremated when I die if they figure out crematories contribute to global warming.. I would hate to be buried and take up real estate. I would rather fertilize the grass, flowers or trees with my cremains.
Yup! I think I would make great fertilizer!

Sulfer Dioxide/chlorofluorocarbons/Nitrogen Oxides/Photochemical ozone... It's all Part of the Natural Life Cycle...

Global warming is a fact. It's called summer.
