Well, I wouldn't call it an "affection". I jut happened to be thinking about it (Transformers) and thought I'd ask if anyone else caught that too. As for Trek, I've seen almost all the episodes- so thre's no new ground there. I just can't bring myself to spend $99 a season to get them all on DVD.

Don't give Vader too much credit for not being a geek though. I mean, come on- the guy's name is VADER for Chrissakes...

Hmm, perhaps I shoudl change my username to OptimusPicard

I just wanted you to know I am aware of this 'flaw' and when I rule the World it could prevent you from making the short list as one of my henchmen.

Oh . . . oh . . . I want to be on your administration! I want to write your speeches. How can I get on the list for consideration?

Well, there won't be any speeches I'll just be issuing edicts.
The theme for early edicts (before I assume power) will be 'Change'.

After I am in control, the theme will become 'No Change'.

You guys are hilarious! LOL

Optimus Tiberius Picard

Thundercats? OK, let's go! (Actually, I only saw maybe 10 - 15 episodes of Thundercats. Darm football and basket ball kept getting in the way, and that was back when VCR's were $999 so I didn't get one until my Sr year in high school- by then they'd dropped to $499 for a decent front loader, just in time for Thundercats to go off the air!

That's back when we'd have crazy hypothetical arguments like, "Who'd win in a fight between Mum-Ra, and Venger?" I'd always go with Venger.

My best friend, who was 3 years older, was a bigger cartoon addict than me.

Blazing Saddles- I love that movie...

Where all the white women at?

It was at this point Raoul exited the thread by slipping out the back door.

Alright, that's cool. However, edicts or not, you're going to need an entire . . . ministry . . . devoted to PR and media. I have experience in this. I think we should talk. Also, I think the person who should be your main PR spokesperson, your Press Secretary as it were, you might want to consider **** Cavett. I think he would be great for that job and his style is perfect for/with yours.

**** Cavett is as old as John McCain.
I don't trust anybody over 50.
They say something then forget they said it and they smell funny.
