The filming of the movie is complete. They will not have to use any stand-ins.

He was a talented actor.

But I've got a very hard time understanding why the father of a two year old is messing around with lethal levels of pills. Whatever movies he was working on pale in comparison to the importance of the daughter he has left behind.

When you've got kids to take care of and so much to live for, grow up and get your priorities straight for their sake.

Part of the problem is how "fans" idolize celebrities and put them on a pedistal. People follow them around just to get a picture of them doing "everyday ordinary things" just like us ordinary folks. Could it be that some of them get a complex thinking they could actually be as invinceable as their fans think they are? If he were a teacher, banker, garbage man, or anyone other than a celebrity it wouldn't be "news" at all.

Personally that would drive me nuts, I would be running over more than photographers feet for the way they crowd celebraties vehicles out in public. I could see that sort of forcing people to take drastic measures to get out, although I guess this one is looking more like it was accidental.

He was really good in "A Knights Tale", I don't really remember him much in "Patriot", otherwise I don't think I have seen any of his other movies.

If he was single and had lopped himself I could have cared less, but it's sad that his little daughter will now have to grow up without her daddy.....

It's Hollywood.

Chances are if he lived, she would still grow up without him.

accidental overdose????

Why is all the media reporting his death as an "accidental overdose"? I heard they think he took 40 some pills including codine, vicadin, etc. Now, if I took that many I would expect that I would die. It would not be an accident that I died. Geesh, I wouldn't even take 40 aspirins and expect to live.

We'll never kow for sure. After the first few pills he might have been so whacked out he lost track of what he had taken. From what I've head, this can happen on sleeping pills and other 'downers'. Also, since there is no known suicide note or history of attempted suicide it would seem accidental. No known evidence that he spent his last day arranging his estate, saying goodbyes, etc...

From the news story I saw, he had six drugs in his system. They included the generics for two powerful pain killers (oxycontin was one), two sleeping pills, as well as xanax and valium.

IMO, he was addicted to drugs and was used to mixing them. But he either lost track or was trying to push the envelope. Either way, he was playing with fire but it would stll be considered by most as an accidental death.

Dying of a prescription drug overdose makes him just as much of a crack head as Belushi, Farley, Phoenix, and all the rest of them. He died abusing drugs; accident or not.

Belushi, Farley, Hendrix, Van morrison, Truman Copote, Billie Holiday, Janis joplin, and Edgar Allen Poe all crack heads ? ? Might want to use a better choice in words.
If you don't like drugs, don't listen to music or read poetry.
