Just got home from 3-1/2 hours on the range for qualifying. High today was 9; nothing like a day in the sunshine and throwing lead down range to make a guy feel worn out.

Of course, now I have to deal with a case of post-gunpowder depression....

(and now to really take it off track) Had a guy out at the range who just retired from Dept. of Corrections, and he spent 15 years on their SERT team. At 21 yards, he was making 3" groups with a brand new S&W M&P .45. Amazing shooter.

Kobi,

I'm still not sure how you did it. I am not sure I could pack up my family and belongings and hit the road. Although, I'd love to live out in the country, for sure. I hate So Cal for all the same reasons you stated you didn't miss it. But, it's home.

You ought to sell your story to a Hollywood studio. You'd be rich!

pretty sure the temp here is -14, but it feels like -30 says the weather channel. I hate MN winters for the insane cold and the salt.

The actual temperature tonight was 4* when I *tried* to start my truck after work. After cycling my glow plugs and cranking 6 (no, I'm not exaggerating) tries, I finally got my truck to start. I'm suprised it started. I thought the batteries were dead after cranking/cycling the glow plugs for so long.

Was 75-85 below wind chills all last week at work, pretty nasty even by our standards. Finally warmed up, but the wind picked up along with it.

How's the truck been handling it?

I'd love to test my truck up there in those conditions for a week.
