Just got home from 3-1/2 hours on the range for qualifying. High today was 9; nothing like a day in the sunshine and throwing lead down range to make a guy feel worn out.
Of course, now I have to deal with a case of post-gunpowder depression....
(and now to really take it off track) Had a guy out at the range who just retired from Dept. of Corrections, and he spent 15 years on their SERT team. At 21 yards, he was making 3" groups with a brand new S&W M&P .45. Amazing shooter.

Kobi,
I'm still not sure how you did it. I am not sure I could pack up my family and belongings and hit the road. Although, I'd love to live out in the country, for sure. I hate So Cal for all the same reasons you stated you didn't miss it. But, it's home.
You ought to sell your story to a Hollywood studio. You'd be rich!

The actual temperature tonight was 4* when I *tried* to start my truck after work. After cycling my glow plugs and cranking 6 (no, I'm not exaggerating) tries, I finally got my truck to start. I'm suprised it started. I thought the batteries were dead after cranking/cycling the glow plugs for so long.

I'd love to test my truck up there in those conditions for a week.

says the weather channel. I hate MN winters for the insane cold and the salt.
