That's right, I had dealt with smaller injuries and still rode but this was too big to keep riding. I broke my back in three places L1, L2, L3. Paralyzed for a few hours. I had to have a bone graph from my hip to fix it. I blew out of my left knee. I broke every single bone in my right foot to the point of there was nothing left, I had to be flown to a specialist to get it fixed. I collapsed my right lung as well as broken ribs. It wasn't fun, that was three years ago and everything still hurts on a daily basis.

I wish I had a mx bike and a sled, but an old car, 64 Ford and some r/c cars (once in a while) entertain me. Is drinking a hobby?

Yep and always will.

I feel it every day, and when it is cold and rainy............Ouch.

I have broken legs, ankles, wrists, color bones, cracked vertibrae in my neck. No fun at all.

Most of those were back in the early 90's.

I dont blame you for getting out, that would have shaken me up for sure!

I dont ride or race as much anymore. Just for fun, and to show the youngin's that this old guy can still haul A**

The bike in my sig is for sale

I'll make you a heck of a deal on it, but the drive might not be worth it. LOL.

Not on your life! I've spent too much of my youth in upstate NY. This NC weather suits my old bones just fine.

We just had a monster snow storm yesterday. Almost 1/2 inch of snow that disappeared as fast as it appeared. The weather guessers are predicting another massive storm tonight or tomorrow morning. As Gomer would say, GOLLLLY!, maybe an inch this time and it will stay on the ground six or seven hours. It's okay, I've got bread and milk and a full tank of gas in all the vehicles.

Stay warm!

and a fridge full of beer I'll bet!

The seats on all those bikes sure look painful. You should check this out http://www.spongywonder.com/. I bought one a couple of years ago and I'll never go back to the old nutcracker style...

RR I've actually tried a saddle similar to that called the Easy Seat (or something like that). It was about 20 years ago. I finally got hooked on www.koobi.com

Affirmative on the beer in the frig. Of course, that not an emergency item that I restock based on the weather. It's a constant!

You need to get down here and check out the weather, you may sell the homestead and move to redneck land.

Humm, now you've got me thinking beer.... maybe a Young's Double chocolate stout for dessert!

Says who? I'd drive back to NC in a hillbilly heartbeat, loved it there. I would live where Earnhardt's place is, Kannapolis or something? I didn't pay attention when we were there. However, I got nowhere to ride around here and my hobby makes me broke as a joke as is

Drinking is cheaper!
