ok so I'm a complete idiot and lost my vehicle registration after I took all my stuff out of my old truck. I just bought another truck today and am going in tomorrow with the check + old tag so i can transfer it over. I found out I can get a replacement vehicle registration at the tax office, but does anybody know if I'll get it tomorrow morning or if it has to be put in the system and then mailed out to me?

 

I know in NYS they have to mail it.

 

If you just lost the registration and have the tags, what will happen is they will take the tags and issue you new ones with a new registration if you want. If not you will be issued a temp registration for the same tags.
