Chevy HHR

As some of you know my truck has been in the shop all week. I finally got it back today, fixed #8 injector under the extended warantee.

In the meantime I've been driving a loaner from the dealer, a Chevy HHR. The dealer gets their loaners from Enterprise Rent-a-car so they really have little say in what you actually get. I must say this little thing was the worst engineered pos I've ever had the disprivilege of driving. Every time I got in that thing, I was glad to drive a Ford. The window controls were misplaced, the armrest made it difficult to buckle your seatbelt, the tach looked like an afterthought just placed haphazardly on the dash, the winshield was too low, the windows were too high, I could go on and on.

When I dropped it off, even the guys that worked at enterprise were talking about how big of a turd that thing was.

I told my service advisor that giving me one of those is the best marketing ford can do. They should demand that everybody get one of those things when they need a loaner.

Ahhhhhh.... so good to be driving my F150 again......

I just drove a new one just yesterday.

My brother works for Chevy, and he bought home a customers HHR that he had to put a new engine in it since the owner somehow damaged the engine and blew it up. I went to a store with him in the HHR and agree with you how poorly its made. I almost wanted to slope down in the seats so no Buddy saw me driving that thing, it was embarrassing lol

I had one as a rental and I agree with everything you complained about. I am 6'-1" and I felt like I had to crouch down to see out of the front windshield. I think they are made for 5'-4" women.

A turd is a perfect description!

I'm only about 5'10" and I had to duck to see the street light when stopped at a red light, and I was stopping well before the line.

Is it just me or were the AC vents complete rip-offs of the F150? The 2004-c F150 is the first vehicle that I've personally seen that style of vents, I've seen some other Ford vehicles with that style since, but that is the first Chevy I've seen with them.

F150 got them from the '02-up Expedition, to pick a nit...

Aren't those the same ones that were in the Eclipse since 2000? or am I thinking of something else?

Wow, I thought they would be a pretty slick rig, never driven though. I guess I'll rethink the whole idea
