Dish Alignment

Does anyone know the best/easiest way to align a Directv Phase III 3 LNB dish, without calling Directv or buying a $400+ meter? I heard a rumor that there is a way to do it with a multimeter but that sounds like a lie.

...Thanks

Depending on where you have the TV and the location of the dish, it may require 2 people. Or, turn the volume up really loud.

If you turn up the volume loud enough, you should have no problem hearing the beeps. They are loud as hell!!!

If you put your zip into the receiver, it will give you the settings you need, as long as where you are mounting it is set up properly. Mine even came with a bubble level to do it. That will get you very close. Then you can use the signal meter to fine tune.
