Good luck!

Yeah... I learned on my 1st ticket... even though it technically wasn't my fault that the spring broke on my throttle body and having dealer provided proof. But whatever, I took the blame anyways.

I was and am always a careful driver. If it wasn't for that mishap, I'd still be clean. But whatever...

Plus, since I am heading to get my CDL next year... I need to make sure I stay clean.

Oh and it's been 4+ years since I got that ticket, so the points and the record was taken off on the 4th year.

Why????? That's gonna be a stiff ticket man. You will learn your lesson once the state takes all your money.

Couldn't tell you. I got my speeding tickets moved to non moving violations. How much is the ticket? And why were you doing 74 in a 45? That aint safe or smart bro.

16, license 4 months, 2 speeding tickets, V-8 engine vehicle? If I was your Dad you'd have bigger worries than how many points or how much it will affect insurance... The difference WOULD be paid, if not in $$, then in sweat equity. I've got some nasty gutters that need to be cleaned, and a messy garage and...

When I got mine, it jacked my insurance up like $450 a year extra... now since it is off, it is actually cheaper than it was a couple years ago before I got the ticket... go figure. But that was only 3 points... But it appears that Florida uses a different point system, and it looks like you will be getting 4 points.

Driving Violations and Points:

Speeding

Less than 15 mph over the speed limit 3 points

More than 15 mph over the speed limit 4 points

Speeding resulting in an crash 6 points

Moving Violation

Moving violation (includes driving during restricted hours) 3 points

Moving violation resulting in a crash 4 points

Failing to stop at a traffic signal (effective October 1, 2005) 4 points

Passing a stopped school bus 4 points

Reckless driving 4 points

Leaving the scene of a crash resulting in property damage of more than $50 6 points

Improper lane change 3 points

Suspension times:

12 points earned within 12 months results in a 30-day suspension.
18 points earned within 18 months results in a 3-month suspension.
24 points earned within 36 months results in a 12-month suspension.

However, I only got 3 points since the DA reduced it to 1 mph over the limit. *****, yes. But I did do over the limit in some sense. So I was guilty and Ford was guilty at the same time. So it was only fair that way. At least it was fair. Could've been much harsher.

But I didn't even bother with the driving school junk. I know I am a good driver and that was just a simple mishap. I didn't do it on purpose nor intentionally... but I did go over 30 mph so I was guilty in some sense.

Like a cop once told me. "Nice truck, just enjoy it alittle slower please." Yeah tickets suck. I used to have a heavy foot in my old truck, but I've slowed down lots since I bought my new one, its just not worth it.

well' you have some learning to do, i hope this second incident is the first educational tool to educating yourself. Speeding is no good! Not for you nor for the other motorist on the road with you! lets see 74 in 45 what if just for instance a child would of jumped out in front of you? just asking? Alot of kids play in a 45 mph zone! Well as a professional frieght relocator (truck driver) w/ 18 yrs (12 on the asphalt over the road, and 6 off road log hauler) under my belt and 2.25 million miles incident, accident, and violation free! I dont want to seem like im just mauling you or smacking you around but you will have to grow up one day and understand that burning tires, speeding, drag racing, its all a form or another of stupidity! Now dont get me wrong im not saint but then again there is a time and a place for that type of activity! (LIKE THE DRAG STRIP) If you feel the need for speed then head to local track, as many of them will have a strictly stock class and let you bring your street legal hotrods in and show what you can do! Keep it off the streets, my kids are on the street playing. Maybe your nieces and nephews, maybe your best friends neices nephews, and hell every child has a parent or two. THIS AINT A HATER SPEECH so please dont take it that way.
someone please tell this a$%whole to quit blowing smoke in my face( maybe then i can quit squinting!)
