Well as a professional frieght relocator (truck driver) w/ 18 yrs (12 on the asphalt over the road, and 6 off road log hauler) under my belt and 2.25 million miles incident, accident, and violation free! I dont want to seem like im just mauling you or smacking you around but you will have to grow up one day and understand that burning tires, speeding, drag racing, its all a form or another of stupidity! Now dont get me wrong im not saint but then again there is a time and a place for that type of activity! (LIKE THE DRAG STRIP) If you feel the need for speed then head to local track, as many of them will have a strictly stock class and let you bring your street legal hotrods in and show what you can do! Keep it off the streets, my kids are on the street playing. Maybe your nieces and nephews, maybe your best friends neices nephews, and hell every child has a parent or two. THIS AINT A HATER SPEECH so please dont take it that way.
someone please tell this a$%whole to quit blowing smoke in my face( maybe then i can quit squinting!)
Here in WI, you automatically lose your license for 90 days for speeding 25 mph over the posted limit, or atleast you did a couple years ago i don't think it has changed at all.
M parents told me that if I got a ticket that the first one I would have to pay for, the second the would take the truck for 2 weeks, the third they would take the truck for 2 months. 12 years after getting my license I am lucky enough to say that I have never gotten a ticket for anything, just lots of warnings, 10 to be exact.

DMV keeps a public record of all your traffic convictions and accidents. Each occurrence stays on your record for 36 months or longer, depending on the type of conviction.
You when your driving record shows any one of the following "point count" totals regardless of your license class:
4 points in 12 months
6 points in 24 months
8 points in 36 months
Some examples of one point violations:
* A traffic conviction.
* An at-fault accident.
Examples of two point violations:
* Reckless driving or hit-and-run driving
* Driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs
* Hit-and-run driving
* Driving while suspended or revoked
If you get too many "points," you will lose your driver license. A violation received in a commercial vehicle carries one and one-half times the point count normally assessed.
Info above is taken from CA DMV
Negligent Operator Information
Basically, if you amass the points listed above, it will be a six month suspension of a driver's license along with one year of probation. Obviously this information is for CA drivers only, but there are a few of us on here.
I hope you like walking:
These infractions will earn you four points:
Exceeding the posted speed limit by 16 mph or more
Your license may be suspended if you incur the following points:
12 points within a 12-month period―30-day suspension
18 points within an 18-month period―three-month suspension
24 points within a 36-month period―one-year suspension
If you're a minor (younger than 18), the law is even more strict; if you accrue just six points in a 12-month period, your license will be limited to "business purposes only" for one whole year. Earning more than six points in that same time period will result in an 90-day extension of your license limitations.
also found this:
you receive a traffic conviction while you have a Learner’s License, the one year period you are required to hold your Learner’s License will be extended for one year from the date of the conviction or until you are 18 years old, whichever happens first.
If you receive 6 points on your driving record within a 12 month period, your driving privileges are automatically restricted to business purposes only for 12 months or until you are 18, whichever happens first.
If you receive additional points during this restricted period, the restriction is extended 90 days for each additional point
dude you have until your appointed court date to drive.
after thatr you might be up sheet creek, good luck, hopefully you'll still have work/school privileges

Is there not a teen court program in your area? I am a lawyer in teen court in our town and all class C misdemenors can be refered there. Instead of paying a fine or gettign license suspended, you simply prefrom community service hours and the ticktet is completely erased.

At 16 you should be mindful of your record, the first should have been enough. You've chanced it twice, I dont see you obeying the laws in the future so just try not to kill anyone......

In a sports car with decent power it is easy to get to higher speeds before you even know it, with little effort (Ie look down and go oh **** when you're going 20 over).... but in the F150 you have to be looking to speed. These things are pigs.

I can do 74 mph just dandy in my F150... if I wanted to. I did 76 mph to pass someone on the thruway because they were fooling around in their car while they were driving... and that's been the fastest my '07 has ever seen. But it was on the thruway and people do 80, so it really didn't matter. But I made completely sure it was safe to do so before I even got up to that speed.
But I always do the speed limit. I just can't risk the ticket.
Just like when I drink. I don't ever drink if I know I need to get behind the wheel. That is why I drink at home by myself. It's lonely, but I know I'll have my license.
