Miami Dolphins Makeover!!

Sounds like the big 'tuna is making the MUCH needed cuts in Miami. Hopefully Miami will be able to get back in the game and stop playing like a bunch of highschool dropouts. "We" finally got rid of Randy Mueller who has been screwing up our draft picks since day one and it sounds like all of the coaches were fired except two!!

Let's see if the old Parcells is back, and not the one that was in Dallas who insisted that Turf Toe should always be the starter and hugs and kisses his players. I had high hopes for him in Dallas but he was kind of a letdown according to his reputation.

That must be some good chronic to make a statement like that!

I have lived in Dallas for the past 10 years, listen to The Ticket daily, (local sports show) and am pretty sure you should retract your statement...

I dont think a coach change will make the phins any better. Not even with the first first round draft pick.

I lived in Dallas from 98-2007 and will be returning this coming summer, and I had season tickets the year he insisted that Testeverde was the ideal QB. I'll admit he did some good, but the team didn't turn around like his previous teams had. granted they went from a 5-11 team to going to the playoffs, but it never exploded into a powerful team. Overall I was disappointed in the results he provided compared with his track record. Admittedly he had the Jerry Jones issue to contend with and I think he did a hell of a job managing that wrench in the works. However, the old Parcells was known for being a hardass and he seemed soemwhat soft during his time with the Cowboys.

Was he good for the Cowboys? Sure. Was he great for the Cowboys? Nope. He certainly can't go anywhere but up on the fins though.

the dolphins players got excited reading that headline because they thought that would mean they were getting new skirts too.

edit : gixxer good luck getting tickets for the new stadium. Prices were released at $300+ for single tickets in average seats.

Do you have a link stating that, I would love to read it.

I heard that ticket prices were going to be double of that AND you had to buy an outrageous 15 year contract on the seats just to buy them.

For the priciest club seats – and we're talking single seats here, not suites – a season ticket holder will pay $340 per seat per game, after forking over a one-time fee of up to $50,000 for the right to buy tickets for that seat for 30 years.

Jesus, the stadium is going to be filled with suits. Way to ruin the game...

Dude the only thing thats going to suck is our only two stars on the defensive side are getting old. Thomas has had migranes the whole season and isn't there rumors that Taylor may be done? Hopefully Jason returns because he is the heart and soul of the whole team! And maybe Thomas will return as THE BEST ( yea I said it) Middle linebacker in the game. Hopefully Joey Porter returns too.

The thing i still haven't been able to understand is why hire Cam Cameron as coach? I mean being a Indiana Hoosier fan as well, Cam couldn't get it done in College what makes them think he was going to be something special in pro football? And why would you trade Chris Chambers! Idk Ronnie Brown is a beast and who knows maybe Ted Ginn will turn out to be a good #2 reciever or possibly a killer slot reciever. Who knows hopefully we can bounce back. I just wish Coach Saban would have stayed i liked him..a lot better than Wanny.

Saban was not too shabby. I think he had things on the right track but, he also wasn't a huge loss.

Being just down the road from you and knowing a thing or two about Cam (pre-Phish), I was BLOWN away that Hyz hired him. Did I mention, BLOWN away? I'm pretty sure that we could've snared a grandmother off the side of a hill in Missoula, Montana and said, 'here ya go! The Dummies Guide to Football in the NFL..." and she could've managed the franchise in a more efficient manner.

But, before I pile on to the extreme, let's remember that nearly every person on the Phish's team (on both sides of the ball) was hurt at some point in time - either with a season ender or something that nagged on. We were PLAUGED with problems this year.

Trading Chambers was ludacrious, IMO. In all honesty, I hope Ricky makes it back. I hate what he did to the Phish as a team but, he can contribute and I think that he can also help Ronnie. Lest we forget that he was the leading rusher in the NFL a few short seasons ago. He's tough. It's still in there. Ronnie can learn from him.

As you point out, 95', our defense is aging... quickly. Our offense is non-existant. My worry is similar to yours -- we need some young guys on the defensive side of the ball because the offensive side is going to be rebuilt regardless. With Jason being our only Pro Bowler for the season and the future of both him and Zach in limbo, we need some high picks on that side of the ball.

One thing is for sure -- and this is how I've looked at it for a while now -- it can only get better.
