anybody else have issues with DHL??? (long rant)

so DHL was jired to ship Christmas presents for my daughter from her grand parents. DHL's driver left the boxes at a random location and forged a signature for the delivery sheet. Claims he doesn't remember the location he dropped off the packages but he does know that someone "answered the door and signed a different name than the one on the address

long story short

#1:I file a complaint
#2: driver gets fired (due to multiple incidents like this)
#3: DHL offers me $20 prepaid for shipping at a later date and tells me to have a merry christmas
#4: it took 36 hours of non-stop phone calls and DHL hung up on me several times when I was trying to locate the packages so I could go pick them up myself.
#5: The local police are sending detectieves to my house in the morning to start a MAIL FRAUD / grand theft investigation.
#6: DHL claims that they are not at fault and they feel bad for firing a faulty employee (over multiple incidents of misconduct)
#7: I HATE DHL for ruining my daughters Christmas (it's the principle of the matter not the $$$)

thanks for reading

That seems to be the general consensus about DHL. I still do not know how their company is still in business.

I've heard nothing but bad things. I never use them because of it.

Dell uses DHL. I ordered a laptop last month along with some accessories. I had to sign for the laptop, but the box with the accessories (low value) that arrived a few days later was just dropped on my front porch.

One time they didn't even ring my doorbell and just put the little slip on my door...

I saw him going away from my house and was like "Huh, no signature this time? Finally..."

Got out there, and they're scheduled to come back three days later...

You won't get mail fraud charges as it is a private company.Mail fraud can only involve the USPS, because of it being a Federal Goverment. That is why if you every sent anything of value use the USPS, as you can then charge them with mail fraud, aslong as you have proof.

well, i ordered something online and got it sent next day delivery. They used dhl.

Well, the package was suppose to be here "guarenteed" before 3pm yesterday....it wasnt. i had rearranged my day so i could be home till it came. I left home at 3:05 to go to work. Get home at 7 and check online and they say at 6:00 they tried to deliver it but the premises were closed. This really pisses me off cause someone was at my house all day yesterday.
They better deliver it today or i will be making a trip to the dhl place.

I once saw a DHL driver come around the corner way too fast, stop suddenly, jump out w/ a box, throw it up a flight of stairs so that it hit the front door of my neighbor's town home, then jump back in his truck and leave just as quickly. I swear that van was on two wheels going around the corners of the court yard. I knew right away that DHL wasn't a company to do business with.

I've also had packages that were supposed to arrive next day, before 10 AM (UPS calls it Red Label) at work. Yeah... I think the package arrived 2 days late. The shipper got a piece of several peoples minds... including the VP of my department. I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when our supplier contacted DHL.
