3 minutes of I Am Legend

Sweet little clip of Will running down some deer with a Shelby, complete with supercharger whine.

Has anyone been to see this movie yet today? I was thinking of taking an extended lunch today and go see it to beat the crowds tonight.

this looks like a remake of Heston's Omega Man.

Can anyone confirm or not?

I was thinking about seeing it. I'm not a big movie goer, but after seeing this clip I'll be there.

The mountain lion/cougar at the end scared the crap out of me. That's what I get for having my sound cranked up.

Yes, but The Omega Man was a lose adaptation of the original book (I Am Legend) and was a re-make of "The Last Man on Earth", starring Vincent Price.

I Am Legend was written by Richard Matheson and published in the mid 50s. Matheson wrote the screenplay for "The Last Man on Earth" which was made in the mid 60s. Omega Man, which Matheson had nothing to do with, came out in the early 70s and deviated from the story line considerably, and now we have I Am Legend, with Will "I can't really act" Smith (his own words), and they have cleverly tied in the whole world is gonna end in 2012 thing into the story-line (See Jamzwayne's 2012 thread or do a Google search of "2012" and expect a zillion hits). Not sure how it's going to do at the box office, but it already holds a record for the most expensive scene film in N.Y.C. (5 million bucks for one shot done on the Brooklyn Bridge).

Looks interesting, but probably isn't.

Yeah I just about s*** myself at the end. I couldn't hear the SuperCharger whine so I kept turning it up in the beginning, I didn't know he wasn't into boost yet. Then he nailed it and I was like "Man that thing sounds sick" with the volume cranked, then got quiet then BAM. I jumped really bad. Hit my kneee on my desk pretty good but it was worth it

Looks like a cool movie, will definitely try to go out and see it.
