It started snowing a couple of hours ago . . .

not sure if the falling flakes will show up

Took that shot about an hour ago. Coming down even harder now, supposed to be five inches by tonight.

So . . . I finally got my snow.

Now I'm happy.

(Except that we have to go to a concert tonight and driving in it won't be much fun).

But I got SNOW!!!!

And as I type this the flakes are getting bigger and coming down faster. This is so cool.

:santa:

Thank you. Good to know.

Actually, the locals are laughing at me (or rather with me) . . .

The usual comment at this time is . . . you moved from the beach to this? Now? Why?

And then they laugh.

My neighbors have also witnessed, more times than they can count, me running out of the house to take pix of the most mundane of weather occurrences. (Mundane to them). Frost? I'm out taking pix. Ice storm? I'm out taking pix. Mild snow fall? I'm out taking pix. They must think I'm crazy. I can just imagine them looking out their windows and saying:

"Look at that crazy guy from California out taking pictures again. What the heck is he taking pictures of? Can't be the frost, can it? Who on God's Earth takes pictures of frost? He's a nut, I tell ya, a nut!"

"Yup, and he was talking about frozen haystacks yesterday."

"Haystacks? Who the heck makes haystacks anymore?"

"I think he meant hay bales."

"Good Lord, not only is he crazy, he's an idiot too!"

"What's he doing now?"

"Standing out in the snow taking more pictures."

"I'm calling the cops. That boy is dangerous."

Pile some more snow up on that bumper and you'd never know it was bent.

Here's what I was doing yesterday and today...six truckloads.

The weather was good but, now I'm getting waves of cramps.
Behind my left leg and my right foot, I'm hobbling around the room trying to walk them off. I'm laughing and cryin at the same time as my body betrays me.

Both of my hands are tryin to do multiple Vulcan greeting signs in all directions.

My wife trys to engage me in household tasks and I'm hobbling around in circle, yelling, "Get away from me! Get away!"

It ain't all bad though, about a half hour ago I had the ability to give someone the finger with my foot.
You don't see that everyday.

I've never moved leaves with my truck, but what do you do to prevent them from flying out? Just put that tarp over them on go on your way?

That's a lot of leaves!

It's more leaves than you would think.
After I load the truck once I climb in and stomp around like I'm making wine from grapes. That reduces the pile to half.

That's a big tarp I use six bungees to tighten it down.
The recycle center is six miles away.
Vehicles are stopped at the entrance and a woman in a building asks, 'What have you got?' she says that everytime "What have you got?"

Loads 1, 2, and 3, I said "Leaves"
(She says "Go ahead")
Load four I said, "debris" but I pronounced phonetically, 'day-breeze'
(pause, no laugh, then she says 'go ahaed')
Load Five the truck in front has leaves so I say I got what he's got.
(slight chuckle)
Load Six (What have you got?)

"I've got hemmoroids!"
Got a laugh

The guy across the street bags but, he has a Civic and a Highlander. He told me he does about 110 bags a season.
I have about twice his volume so there's no way I could bag.

One time I told my next door neighbor that my yard produced 8 truckloads of leaves.

He looked at me without smilin' leaned on his rake and said, "No. Nine."
