Crested Butte Snow!!!

Well, the official total for the past 3 days up on the mountain is...... 86"!!!! Yahooooo, sledding season is here and sking and boarding if you like that sort of thing. I only had a small 3' at my house between Gunnison and the Butte. Here's a few pics taken Friday morning starting about 6:30 when there was only about 2' and there are more in my gallery.

That's a lot of snow! Good thing you didn't get a white truck.

I really don't think it's possible to take bad pictures in that area. Very nice. Love the civic pic!

As I recall, you guys did pretty good last year. My sister is a nurse in Denver and she sent me a ton of pic's last year after the big dump. Last year was aweful for snow here when you got dumped on, now it's our turn I guess. I kinda wish you would have got as much as us, at least at mile high, would have made the slaughter of the Chiefs all the sweeter .

So, when you get that much snow, how much of every day life gets affected, and for how long. We ge snow in NE PA, but maybe 6 or 8 inches at a time. And even that is a big snow. Heck, a 12 inh snow shuts everything down for atleast a day.

Doesn't make to many problems, we expect it. Power went out a few times because the snow was so wet and heavy. School wasn't even canceled. Have a few extra traffic accidents, a few more skier/boarder injuries, and the ranchers have to clear feeding and watering areas for the livestock. Besides that, everybody loves it. It was negative 7 this morning when I went to work so the snow is here to stay until Mayish.
