Lots of Chryslers in the top 10. My father was right, they are bad.

Is it because those vehicles are built like crap or is it because those manufacturers are taking care of their customers? I see a bunch of folks complaining about the snapped sparkplugs, and new sparkplugs in the new trucks, but no recall.

I'm not saying anything good or bad about Ford, but a recall list really doesn't tell you a whole lot. Remember Fight Club?

My friend had a 300M (not a 300c!) and the transmission died twice, the steering rack needed to be replaced like 3 times, and the thing would eat brake pads up. He went through about 8 sets of brakes for about 120k.

My Dodge Dakota on the other hand has treated me very well.

The Compass we've got isn't bad either... but time will only tell with that thing. Then again, they don't plan on keeping it because it is tiny... they like driving F150's, Excursions, and very large vehicles with tons of understeer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this list is based on the number of actual vehicles of each model that were recalled? I like to see a list of the actual number of recalls per model or maker.

Im the same way, I had a Dakota and loved it. The fit and finish left you wishing for more, but the truck itself was reliable and looked good. My friend owns nothing but Dodge trucks and they have all made it over 100k before he let them go with no real problems to speak of

We had a 300M that was a lemon, we had everything go wrong on that damn car. The block was actually porous too ..
