Drinking is legal. Driving drunk is illegal, as is PI, blah, blah, etc.. Smoking pot is illegal, period, except for legal doctor prescribed medicinal purposes.

first, i'm not asking for advice on smoking weed. you do 13 months in iraq and have anxiety attacks when you get home and all they want to do is put me on xanax??? if you can't understand that, then you're f'ed up.

second, me and the wife have pretty much decided that we are going to try it. the extra income (almost 3x a week what i make now) would be REALLY nice. this has been on my mind all weekend and i couldn't sleep. HOPEFULLY i'll be making the right choice. i've worked with my dad and uncles (for about 2 years) so i'm used to the family thing.....

Have you thought about looking for another job a little closer? Don't take the job just for the $$, especially if you'll be working with family. Sometimes that can be harder than you'd expect.

Talk to your wife, and make the decision together.

If you feel you've made the wrong choice, you probably did. I once accepted a job in Detroit, didn't sleep for 2 days, called them back and said "sorry, can't do it" and immediately felt a million times better. Two months later I landed my current job and love it!

Crash, that is a toughy but I'd stay with the wifey. I usually don't suggest that over career advancement but since you married her I assume you love her. I don't know how much she's gone but you are young and I'd guess other opportunities will come your way soon. Unfortunately these days so many couples have to make this type of decision. My girl and I have put off kids up until now due to similar type of issues. Good luck.

i know i know, and trust me, that is playing one really big part in my decision...

the amount spent on green monthly.... roughly $80 a month (and for those of you about to chew my butt on the amount of money, just remember, that's roughly 16 packs of cigarettes, and about 16 white mocha cappucino with double shot from starbucks.....

THAT isn't the part i'm thinking about. i've done this work and i've worked with the people before... it just SUCKS living out of a suitcase...
