Fruit and nuts?

Was having a discussion with a friend about Christmas stocking stuffers etc, and they thought one tradition I grew up with was a little nuts. Santa always left an assortment of fresh fruit: apples, oranges, tangerines, and grapefruit along with walnuts, pecans, almonds, Brazil nuts, Macadamia nuts, etc(all in the shell, of course). Anyone else have a tradition like this

I think that's a little like getting coal in your stocking, Blue.

Well, if it's cold on Christmas, you might appreciate a little coal! When I was a kid, it was the only time we got some of that stuff! It was special, and it really added color to the festivities.

Sounds about like my stockings as a kid. But there was usually a pack of gum, and some small toy in there too...

BTW, I figured this was going to be a post about Californians... glad it wasn't...

Don't blame him. There's no fun in "good".
