lots of snow in Texas w/pics

I went out to my girl friend's mom's house in Seymour Texas yesterday. Well it snowed about 3-4 inches. I actually had to use my four wheel drive in order to get home safely.

I agree.

Actually - I'd like to see a good solid week of freezing temps. You know, a high of 31, low of about 19. I know it's prolly not gonna happen, but a man can dream, right?

Imagine it ... come spring, a lot of these dadgum bugs wouldn't make it, and we'd get a nice fresh start.

Awesome!

Winter is coming! Oh yes it is!

:santa:

We only were dusted Friday night/ Sat. morning and just barely. Today was supposed to be a 40% chance of a whole 1" of accumulation . . . . but now, sadly, that has dropped to a "slight" chance of snowfall with no accumulation, turning into rain.

Damn.

Oh well. Soon I will see snow like in your pix out in my yard. Then, BIG party time!

(Yeah, coming from Lost Angeles, makes boring stuff such as this rather unique for a transplant like me.)

:santa:

Me too! I am pretty sure my girl friends mom thought I was nuts. I was taking pictures and walking around in the snow pretty much the whole time. I lived in Florida for 14 years before I moved to Texas last year. If it snows I am out side taking pictures and enjoying it.

Ditto.

It snowed here on Easter Sunday this year, and I took pictures of that. It didn't even stick, but that didn't stop me from taking pictures. It snowed here about 4 years ago and I took tons of pictures since it only snows in this area once and awhile, and it usually doesn't last more than a full day.

I moved from Dallas to Cleveland this year. I was pissed when it was cooler in Dallas at some points than it was here in Cleveland. Now I go to Dallas for Thanksgiving and had to endure the sleet in Dallas. Weather is messed up I tell ya!
