My point was I will not operate a vehicle that offers a lower crash test rating, but is "best" because it can help certain drivers avoid accidents. I am the operator of the vehicle, so I will worry about avoiding the accidents. While some drivers (women) can benefit from options like ESC not all drivers will. I have driven a couple vehicles with ESC, I hated it. I will avoid this option as long as I possibly can.
Excellent!

I am avoiding ESC like the plague... bad enough our Compass has it and I turn it off everytime I get in the vehicle. It is STUPID.

Something is wrong also... why do they test the regular cab only versions of the trucks?! Hardly anyone buys the shortbed regular cab truck version. Most buy the extended or crewmax cab with the 4 doors.

I want to see how well that handles a crash. A regular cab, shortbed is WAYYYYYYYYY lighter than a 4 door crewmax cab. WAY lighter.

I agree, most truck owners nowadays are a bunch of soccer moms or close to it.

Don't know that an article on safety from 10 years ago is relevant?
