Larry- I quit after 35 years of smoking 2 packs of Marlboro reds every day. Sure it isn't easy but with will power and a desire to quit you can. It is the best thing I have ever done. The worst was starting smoking. There are many 'tricks' I did to help. I will be brief with them.
After eating, get up immediately and go brush your teeth. Eliminates the after eating craving and helps your smile as well.
Use an aid like the patch. They do work to eliminate the nicotine urge.
Change habits like when you get in your truck and reach for a smoke, reach for a nail or a pencil or something. Just change the habit.
You are wrong, everyone Loves a quitter!
Yea Camels also have a better taste and an extremely less after taste. I didnt realize how nasty Reds where until I shared a pack of Camels off a co-worker one day. After 2 or 3 I was like whoa, these are smoother, have a beter taste, many say they smell better, and they dont have a nasty after taste I had grown accustome too..... Why hadn't anyone told me?!?
Not saying they are as great as quitting, but better than the others.
My dad smokes GPC..... I dont know how he does it.....

I spent this afternoon in the friendly confines of Cigars International Super Store in Bethlehem, PA. It was 3 of the best hours I've spent in a long time. Free Yuengling & I smoked a Perdomo Habano & a CAO America. Cigars & booze, two of the finer things in life.

I think it should be booze and women instead.
kinda off topic, but i really hate to see the gov't stickin to smokers and drinkers with all the taxes, and also for banning smoking like they did in dallas. i don't think that is a govt decision to make. bar or restaurant owners should have that privvie. i think the only reason they tax those people is that they know they are pretty much gonna pay for em no matter what the cost. kinda like gasoline.

Med: CAO Black & Black VR, Monte Cristo #2 (Cuban), Padron 1964 Aniversario (very expensive), Arturo Fuente Hemingway
Mild: CAO CX2, Davidoff Millenium Blend
The best thing to do would be to find a fine Tobacanist Shoppe & go hang out a few times. Simply talking to the patrons will give you several tips.
