I didn't even think about cigars. I smoke maybe one a month. Only Monte Cristo's for me.

My truck smokes. Other than that, I'm tobacco free except for the occasional cigar.

I quit smoking a few years ago. We have a no tobacco policy here at work. It helps. My best friend smokes (Marlboro 27), and I can have just one and be fine with that, not a problem. Burning one doesn't make me want to go buy a pack. I guess I'm an exception to the rule. I think it was more of a habitual thing than an addiction for me. I can be fine around other smokers and not be Jonesing.

I smokes for probably 20 some years. I was up to 2 packs a day. I quit cold turkey back in Jan or Feb. I never looked back and I don't miss it one bit.

Now if I could just kick the I would be much better off.

I dip here - Kodiak - for about 3 1/2 years now.

I rue the day I started, the stuff is wrecking my lower jaw. Tried the lozenges and gum - just isn't the same.

I want to say that I just can't quit, but then my ol' baseball coach's saying comes to mind, "Son, can't means only that you don't want-to bad enough".

I've been smoking since I was 16 so that's going on almost 30 years. I've thought about giving it up but nobody likes a quitter.

I had my High School football coach die earlier this year of throat cancer caused by dipping. He left behind a wife and young children, and he was only 55. Guys, it ain't pretty.

Typical Redneck here. Started dippin at the age of 12. I've been around it my whole life and just about all my friends and relatives do too. So i've been goin on about 6 years now. I quit last year but started again when I started rough neckin. It was really bad then, almost 2 cans a day. The best dip is after a hard work out or when you're drinkin. Right now i'm dippin Grizzle mint. It varies though, I think i've dipped them all. Smoking is one thing I never picked up on though and I cant stand it. Atleast with dip you don't stink you up, or the people around you and it doesn't effect your stamina, give you shortness of breath, or make you age quicker. Or make women sound like men .

That is the reason I quit chewing. My kids are young, and I want to be around when they are older. I'm not trying to die over something as stupid as mouth cancer. Not a cool way to go out at all.

I was a hard core, pack a day smoker till just over 2 years ago, cold turkey. After a month, no problems. I have had 2 this year and never wanted anymore enough to re-start. Cigars (monte cristo#4's are good) and that's about it. I loved to do it, but the negatives about it began to mount too much. My truck smells ALOT better, breath, clothes. etc. I'm so happy my windshield is cleaner 10 times as long now, hated the hazing it got before. Never got into drugs, but now the only vice is booze.

My dad chewed for the longest time and I rode his *** for a long time to quit. He finally did after I let up on him, hasn't done it in years and I couldn't be happier for him.

Yea, it's pretty nasty stuff. My dad chewed tobacco for several years. One year my sister gave him a custom made silver tobacco can lid for Christmas. It took the tobacco about a year to eat a hole through that silver lid He no longer chews but him and my mom both smoke

No tobacco products in my house

i used to smoke in high school and into college, really to be cool i guess. my mom smokes and is a nurse and my dad dips and is a nurse (well is registered anyway). now that i am married, i rarely smoke, maybe a cigar or square on the golf course, but honestly guys, it is really nasty for you and everyone around you. if you had see what it does to people when they hit about 45 or so, and wonder why they can't breathe or run or do anything, you would quit. if you figure on average a can of snuff or pack of cigs was lets say 4 bucks, and you went thru 2 packs/cans a week, thats a little over 400 bucks a year ...and most people who smoke usually go thru way more than that. but, like i said, i do enjoy the occasional cig
