Winter predictions ...

What kind of winter do you think we are going to have this year?

Here in East Texas, we had a mild winter, and a very, VERY nice summer. I am hoping for a loooong cold winter this year.

You?

We have had snow here already....twice!

I hope we get lots of snow and it STAYS this winter. It'll be nice instead of a storm with a huge dump of snow only to have it melt and disappear withink days due to the chinooks we get off the mountains.

Am looking forward to trying out the 4x4 on the new truck with the Toyo MT's in some fresh powder.

y'all have long cold winters down there? up here the winters have been cold and dry for the first part. then real late in the season we'll get our snow and ice, but each year it seems to come later closer to spring.

Take that back! The weather you have today, I have tomorrow. I personally hate being cold.

I rather hope it's not so cold and a bit on the rainy side in the lower elevations and lots of heavy wet snow in the mountains. I love the snow but we need the rain down here. A heavy wet snowfall in the mountains will give us lots of nice spring runoff too.

How about y'all sharing some of that colder weather with us further southern folks?

Did that make sense?

What's Snow

JK It's in the high 70's today with the wind. Begenning of November and it's barely even jacket weather. Hopefully we'll just have low 70's. Any colder than that and it's misreable to go fishing.

Oh yeah. I'm all the way on the West Coast and well North. My buddy goes to school in Ft. Lauderdale and was hoping that Noel would hit him so they'd cancel school and he could come home and fish.

Will be interesting to see. I was watching the weather last week and they had a trivia question on precipitation for the winter after having a severe drought. Normal for this area is 17" of snow per winter season. Yes I know not much. The last time we had as severe a drought as this year was 1995. That winter we had 46" of snow.

Eh, it's snow sweetie, nothing to break all over the freeway. However...you could cause a multi-car pileup when the vehicles behind you all start skidding out of control in the swath of snow you leave behind!! Maybe you should just stay home and hope for the best!
