mine may be messy. rumors of the lake never completely freezing this year. That means lots of lake effect snow ( heavy pounding blizzard-ish snow that doesnt stop for hours)

I'd like 2' of snow on Christmas, then for it to go straight back to summer.

How about y'all sharing some of that colder weather with us further southern folks?

Did that make sense?
Normally it is only a few degrees colder here in Central Arkansas. On average DFW and LR are within ~5 deg of each other. I have seen many times when it is snowing in Dallas and all we get is rain.

The northern areas of the state do get somewhat colder.

My A/C is broke, so I'm hoping it starts to get cold pretty damn soon.

It actually wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the 80% humidity.

Im hoping for a great winter in which the snow comes in mid December and it stays cold with weekly snowfalls of 6" or more all the way through mid March.
However, I have a feeling its going to be another lame winter with warm temps and rain.
Im on a few snowmobile forums and everyone on there is talking about how Farmer's Almanac is forecasting average temps and above average snowfall. Consider how wrong the FA has been in recent years, I'll will hold off on getting too excited until the temps drop, the lakes freeze over and the snow starts to fall.

Now that is the kind of winter I LOVE! I miss living up there. Used to live right on Rte 31 by the reservation. Remember a few times waking up to drifts damn near touching the window... on the 2nd floor! Mind you, my house was in the middle of a field, but still.

I hope we get nailed this year. 2+ feet all year 'round will make me happy. Get to see just how the new pellet stove can crank out the heat after I've been snow blowin my 100yard drive and trails for the the dog + kid thru an acre of land.

Bring it on Old Man Winter! Be damned AG!

I hate cold weather, but we need a good wet winter to make up for all the rain we missed this year. So far all I've heard is a dry winter. I hate cold, dry winters. Why must it be 36 degrees and windy as hell? There's no reason for it to be that cold. Now if it snows, there's a reason for the cold. I'd be happy if it stayed in the 50's all winter.

They say up here in the NW we are in a La Nina' as opposed to a El Ninjo'
I guess instead of a rather mild winter, we are supposed to have a colder winter season.

Hey Ms. Rose, I just hope those spring runoffs are like this...

As opposed to this

Our Trip to Mt Rainier, was pretty shocking seeing all the scenery washed off the Mt.
