Ouch !

And that would be some horrible meat, when a deer is hit with a car, especially at those speeds the meat just shreds and gets nasty.

If the Element is imported into Australia, some company over there will make heavy duty 'roo bars for it. Kangaroos get big and people drive fast in the outback. With 'roo bars, function is more important than looks.

My inlaws rolled over their rental car avoiding a moose in Canada. With a moose, it's usually better to roll the car rather than hit the moose, though both options suck.

I hit a deer with my Escape, and being it unibody, it really messed that little SUV up a lot... but that was after I was having problems with it... so I know it wasn't from me. However, it did drive better after I hit the deer... the front end didn't look good, but it drove better... maybe I should have hit a couple trees, parked cars, and possibly had a F350 pull that sucker through a swamp...

^^^ yeah the damn things are way too thick up here. what really pisses me off is the way the conservation department claims to own them. but then when you nail one they don't own'em anymore.. funny how that works.. a guy can be finded an throw in jail for shooting one out of season to fed his family. but if my cow wonders out in the road and you hit it i am still responsible for it.

Yea and I think it was on the way home that Buck and I were talking that the conservation denys the existance of bear here, but if you shoot one, then it's a $5K fine....... For killing an animal that don't exist here.....

i can appreciate all the conservation has done for the state. but sometimes i think they get on a powertrip and think they are higher in authority then what they are.

I guy here not too long ago was killed when he hit a horse that got out of the fence. I think the wife is going to try and sue the farmer.

It could have been a lot worse my fine friend.
