Fall is in the air

Highs in the upper 60's all week, lows in the upper 40's. Time to break out a jacket I love this time of year, not too hot and not too cold. Anything around 55-60 is nice.

I think it blows. It means I need to find out how to get power out to my truck's parking spot so I can plug it in at night. Thinking I'm going to have to dig up the gravel parking lot and bury an extension cord. It also means that it's time for me to put the boat away, which is a $50 trip home.

Diesel trucks hate cold weather starting. My truck has a block heater that needs to be plugged in when the weather is cold.

You never know what the heck NY is going to bring us.

One day it is 85F Sunny, the next, 45F Raining, Cloudy, 20 mph winds out of the North... and you wish you could just sleep the day away.

I love the Fall too but not as much as Spring. Fall feels good but you know colder stuff is on the way. Spring feels good too and you know it's only going to get warmer. Fall = snow. Spring = rain. You don't have to shovel rain.
Where I live most people even plug their gas engines in at night during the winter. Sometimes at work too. It's not so bad since I moved further west but when I lived in Alberta -20c was about normal. Getting down to -40c isn't uncommon either. 35-40f isn't even considered cold here. That's just a little nippish.

Hey WMR, I just realized we're almost neighbors. I'm only 3 hours north of Spokane.

Zaairman, You won't have to plug in your truck. My buddy have a 2000F250 and he hast plugged it in one time since he bought it a few years ago.

unless it gets into the negatives this winter.. you shouldn't need it.

Diesels sound like crap when they are started in cold weather... but once they get nice and toasty... they sound nice!
