Before my F150 I drove a 1987 Mercury Cougar, 20th Anniversary Edition. Nice car, all the bells and whistles that were available in '87. Before that, a 1967 Mustang...1981 Mustang...1972 Cougar...1972 Torino...That's it for me, the hubby has had his share too and then there are the various commuter cars we've run through.

 

'92 Chevy Cavalier RS coupe, 2.2, 5 speed loaded, 145K on it. Replaced a couple of altenators, a starter, coil packs, heater core, blah blah blah..... It was in need of a head gasket and new radiator. It also did not throw out much heat. So after 12 years of ownership, it was not worth the money to repair and it was time to replace it.

 

91' TA with the 5.7 350 TPI. Had a hypertech chip but that was about it. That car was a lot of fun.

I drove a 1999 Ford Ranger 4x4... You could say it has a few mods.

The truck has a Dixon Bros Racing Long Travel front suspension, 4-Link Rear Suspension, Custom 35 spline Ford 9" axle, 22gal Fuel Cell, BFG AT's 33/12.5, and lots and lots of other goodies...



And yes, I still own it, and yes this is where the 'rngprerunner' SN comes from...

1988 S10 4X4 Gave it to my son in law last summer. Bought myself a 2001 BMW M5 WOW! Missed having a truck so just got myself a 1998 F150 S-Cab

Learned at 8 years old on dad's 79 F150
Inherited dad's 88 F150 Lariat XLT
Inherited dad's 95 F150 Scab after the 88 blew the clutch on the way to college. Funny story, I limped it on back halfway and met them with the 95 to swap my stuff out. Week later they send me pictures of a new 2000 Chevy 2500HD, they traded mom's Mercury Grand Marquis in for it.

So I then kept the 95 until out of college. Returned it to dad and leased the 2004 XLT I had. Now that's gone and I'm F150less for the first time in my life. I think I'm having withdrawals.
