The base price for a GT deluxe (the "lower end" V-8 model) is $25,840. A-plan would be around $23000. If you can get one for $20k, I'd jump on it. Hell, they're asking that much for used ones. My saleman said that if you were to lease a new GT, the residule value after two years is 72%, the highest he's ever seen. Meaning the resale value on GT's is very high, so I highly doubt you can get a new one for $6k under sticker.

I'd like to see that, I'm not calling you out but that is hard to believe. Dealers around here have zero problems selling them. Used ones in this area are going for $19,000-$21,000 depending on mileage and options. I just love the fact that Ford priced these cars, amazingly. I mean $30,000 for a fully loaded GT is sweet!

I agree, killer deal for what you get. I will try to get a local paper scanned next weekend. It is the 07's they are selling cheap, I cant say I have had a salesman put actual number on paper, just going by what I have seen advertised. I was looking at a 02 GT with 70k, but I'm thinking it might be best to buy new since the resale is so good and not worry about it. Will have to save up a bit more downpayment though and probably pick it up first quarter of next year

I won't say it's not an automatic. I will say it's not a manual.
Every Mustang GT I've owned (3 of them) before now, has been a manual trans. I no longer feel like shifting gears. I don't find the driving experience any less enjoyable. I am not racing anyone, just enjoying the car for what it is. Am I getting old? Probably.

Well, the auto in new Mustangs isn't all that bad. That's still a damn nice ride you've got there.

i parked next to a brand new black 08 GT. i must say, it looked amazing, and the scoop really finished off the look. it was even better when he started it up, the sweet tone of true dual flowmasters

Nice Ride Nut.

I can't see myself ever having another car to drive, personally.

I went from my 95 F150 to an 02 Mitsubishi Galant (briefly), then to my 04 Heritage F150. I know a Galant and Mustang are like comparing apples to oranges and there is no comparison as far as "the fun factor"...but my fat *** is too big for most cars.

Looks like the new Candy Apple Red?

I'm planning on placing my order for one in the next week or two -- still trying to decide on the whole Auto vs. 5-speed deal.......

My last car was a 5-speed, it was fun until you hit stop and go traffic. It was enough of a pain that my next purchase was an auto, not that you have a whole lot of a choice with a 5.4 but I wasn't specifically looking for a 5.4 either at the time.
