New Toy For The Old Boy
I'll have to argue with you on that one, Thumper. I ran the '05 Stang against our '99 Trans AM WS6 Ram Air, and I stayed within a car length on a half mile run. (warning, don't do this in a convertible... I did not feel safe).
I don't think I could've shifted any better than what came out of the factory.

Modern day automatics are just as fast as manuals. If your even the slightest bit off in your shifts a auto will take ya
I've ran a manual GT vs an Automatic GT and had it by a car length easily. Now my friend with the Auto is ditching it for a manual.
Not to mention manuals are just way more fun. Mustangs are sports cars and sport cars should be manuals. If you want an automatic, keep it in your F150. LOL

Put the cigarette out and pour that drink out, dump it into 2nd around that corner and leave a smoke show for everyone else.
PS: I'm debating about buying this 2001 4.6L long block for $600 to put into my 65.. LOL

I have been kicking around the idea of buying one for a weekend car. You can find the v-8 lower end models here in houston for right at 20k new. Not too bad, throw on 3-4k worth of goodies and it should be a fun lil car
