I would just start workin out your upper body and takin protein
Good advice except the underline part. Don't ever just work out one part of your body unless you've got an injury. Can we say "Bird"? Thats fine if you want to have a worthless beach bod but if you want strength than you need to work out upper and lower body.

I'd say hes got lower body stamina, not strength.

Just making sure though. I hate when I see kids work out to get a huge upper body and have some little bird legs.

I can take all the mass building drinks, pills, just about anything you want to throw at me, belive me I've tried most, they won't do crap for me. I've alwatys slowly built strength, but can never build mass.... just won't. From 18-29 I gained 15 lbs. months beofre I turned 30 I gaineed 15 lbs in two weeks for no reason.... Lost 10 lbs in the last year and a half while I've been trying to gain. I'm much stronger than I was when I was 18 but my mass did not grow porportinal with my strength. Though not in as good of shape as I was then, I don't have the stamina that I use to.

Same here.I started lifting weights about 1.5 years ago. When i started i weighed 190lbs. After 4 months i weighed 160lbs. I started feeling like i was going to die!!I started loosing strength and muscle after 175lbs. I couldn't get bigger no matter what i ate.I even kept track and at that time i was eating roughly 5,000-6,000calories a day. It has taken me the last 6 months to get back to 175lbs eating everything in sight!!
I need to eat 4,500 calories a day to weigh between 175-180 from working daily w/o any other exercise. I have to work pretty hard at my job though so that could have something to do with it.

Squats will improve your overall strength and even help your bench. You can start your workout with them and then hit the leg press, extensions, calve work ec. ec.

If you have a sufficient caloric intake (which should include a resonable balance of protein) you should not be losing weight even if working out.

With protein the body can only assimilate so much at one time (something like 35 grams) so you should have smaller portions throughout the day rather than two or three huge ones. There are calculators that give you how many grams per body wieght you should consume to build muscle. Of course if you take too much it is hard on your kidneys.

If you are a real loser you get on the juice.

While trying to figure out why I cant gain weight. After several test for thyroid and other probelms and all coming back normal..... then one doctor asked me to write down everything I ate and teh portions I ate for a week. When I took teh list back to him, One it looked like a freaking book...... 2 the doctor took it to the nutrienist and after conversing they didnt have any sugestions but said if a normal person ate what I do, they would gain atleast 1 lb per day until they died........ That was actually a pretty slow week and I didnt log everything, there was a considerable amount I missed.

Protien is one of the main parts of my diet, I eat ALOT of beef, fish and eggs, and snack on peanuts or cashews.

Hmm... interesting. A friend of mine has a semi-rare disease called Crohn's disease... it's a GI Tract infection... it's crazy that he can eat anything and not get fat... I sure hope it ain't what I got or am getting.

I cant tell you where it goes..... I dont swell, I dont get cramps, it's always normal and healthy, just never a daily routine lke everyone else.

Damn that does sound pretty unusual.

I always had a fast metabolism too but not to your extent. In my late 30's it finally began to slow down which was nice. People who have to diet think that would be great but its not that fun to always have to be consuming food, it becomes a chore.

I thought mine had right before 30, like 6 months before, then I gained that 15 lbs suddenly for no reason. Then it stopped I maintained that for a long time and it felt good to have it, was hoping to gain another 25.... Then all of a suden as fast as I packed it on BAM!!!! I lost 10 lbs practically over night and I was not happy.....
