This is kind of old, but have any of you hunters seen this kind of Moose decoy before?

I really hate to be mean, but in Texas, you'd get made fun of for shooting that. Is that a big deer where youre from? Dont get me wrong though, nice size deer, just has a rack like a fifth grader. Our deer maybe small, but they are stacked!

I didn't see a decoy in that video, but that moose put on the brakes big time!

Moose are considered to be the most, if not one of the most dangerous Canuck animals.

I've driven behind a few Bulls (thank goodness they were going the same way I was) and all ya see is that giant ******* swinging back and forth as you hope he doesn't turn around and try to take down your vehicle, especially during the rutting season.

I bet that cameramans heart was pumping pretty good.

Ya the Texas bucks have big racks!! I would have shot either of those deer w/o thinking twice It really depends what you set your goals at for antler size. I would say those are decent size for Alabama. The land you have to hunt also plays a big part in what you shoot.If your hunting land is limited your goals will generally be lower than someone who has access to thousands of acres. Not to mention the fact that some areas just don't produce monsters!!!

Man yall are gonna give me chit when i post pics of the deer i am willing to shoot this year I will make sure i wipe the milk off their lips before i take pics
I just put the corn out last week and they 100lbs of corn the first week!!!

CDBO33STX By my standards those are two nice Bucks.

Shinesintx How can you pick on people about the deer they shot? From what I have seen the deer in Texas Have big racks with a body size of about 80 pounds, I could be wrong but I would rather have a big pile of venison than a pile of bone. Jeff

Jeff;

If you read his posts it will become clear. Just as clear as he likes to appear as an upstanding Christian, you'll find that this guy where's a mask while getting down on others in these forums. I bet he shoots bucks simply for the rack and then throws the rest of the animal away.
Obviously with Shiney, it's just about the rack. What else is a deer good for afterall?

It don't bother me what OTHERS think of what I tag. I was proud to take them.

These are descent deer IMO. Yes I have seen bigger, but they generally come from clubs that have 1,000's of acreage and can actually manage the deer herd. We have sat in our stands and let small bucks walk, when minutes later hear shots from the neighboring club taking the deer that we just let walk. So you tell yourself, if someone goona shoot it...why not be me.

BTW, these are the first bucks I've taken in about 5 year and it's the only ones I took last season. My last buck was a good 9 point with about the same mass. Very seldom we see good bucks...mostly does. Guess what gets shot the most.

I am with you, I have shot bigger bucks, and I have shot smaller bucks, (mostly smaller bucks) but they are all meat in the freezer. Jeff
