New updates on the truck

It’s been busy getting settled back into the States, but I wanted to share and update on my truck. I picked up a 2005 Black Super Crew XLT w/ 5.4. In the past 3 months I’ve added the following:

Super Chip
Airaid intake
Chrome side rails
Extang Tonneau cover
Bug guard

I programmed the chip last night. WOW what a difference. This was my first experience re-programming the computers. It was very easy to back up the stock setting and then dial in the new one, I used the performance setting. Took about 15 minutes and the difference was incredible. Pickup was faster, stayed in the power ban longer and shifted quicker. Very cool new toy. For those that are not familiar there’s also setting for towing, and running 87 octane for best gas mileage. You can also dial in modifications to the truck, axle, tires heights, shifts, rpms limits…

I’m going to take some pictures tonight and send them over.
