LCD TV help

I'm shopping for a new LCD tv for my living room.

Must be 32" minimum
Must be wide screen

What do I need to look for before buying one?

What's with contrast ratio? I'm guessing higher is better.

I found this one. Is it a good deal?

Any help is much appreciated.

I have a LG LCD no problems so far, had it about three years. It still amazes me to this day when I'm watching a HD program. I wish had gone bigger though.
Look for miultiple HDMI inputs. At least 2 - 3. If you didnt know HDMI is one cable that does the job of five component A/V cables. Makes for a much cleaner install.
1080P is the latest and greatest but you really cant tell the difference from 1080I. But you might as well get 1080P to keep up with technology.
LCD is a good choice. If you are paying cash look on your local Craigslist and see what they got.
Let us know what you get.

The Vizio LCD's that Sam's Club sells are a good deal for lower end units. I just bought a 42" for $900 and I'm very pleased with it. Their 37" is $750 and their 32" is $600.

Sceptre has quality control issues - I'd stay away from them.

Try to get something with better than 8ms response time. 4 should be good for TV/movie watching, or go 2 if you also plan on connecting this to a computer or console for games.
