pohotshop what to buy

I'm thinking about buying the software for my laptop. What type and version should I be looking at buying? I have never used any software like this before so if one is more user friendy than the other that would be great.

If it matters, I'm using XP

Thanks

If you've never used it before, I would suggest at least downloading the trial version before you go spending $600+ on it.

I just went ahead and bought the 4.0 on ebay for 25 after shipping and then got some training info for another 15.

Thanks

I guess the 25.00 wasn't bad but 15.00 for a training video? Google will find you plenty of free PS tutorials.

if it's the actual PS CD, not a copy, then "I think" you might beable to upgrade to 7.0 for free.

He bought Photoshop Elements. It's like a stripped down version.

To late now, but thanks. I didn't want to spend a lot right now not knowing anything about how to use it.
