Before you yard it out, try taking the handle off and check the crown shaped nut for tightness (not overtight). Also, grit in the lines will trash your O-rings. Disconnect the lines under the sink after you shut the valves off, and get a bucket and open the valves and blow the lines out. Look in the bucket, and you are likely to have all kinds of grit. Keep cranking the valves open and jazzing the lines until the water in the bucket is clear. Trust me.
I talked to a plummer who did the plumming on a resort addition, and they didn't blow out the lines, and after a year, they had replaced all of the new faucets they just installed.

No problem... Scary part is, I'm starting to think more like my father... If it has a warranty, you bet your *** he's gonna milk it for all it's worth.
