Riveroaks, bellaire west University is where I roam in Houston. Dont see too many BMW's, Acuras, Lexus or Mercedes with aftermarket annoying exhaust.

Born & Raised in Houston. I hear enough loud annoying exhaust offroading. I dont want to hear it after a long day while stuck in traffic.

Just glad I live in Alberta were it doesn't seem to matter how loud you are. I just caught a BS speeding ticket the other day. I can understand how you feel. But really, the offroad kit is the offroad kit for a reason. I think they should tow any imported cars busted for exhaust noise right to the wreckers...thats about ten times worse then any V8 giving off a roar. But cops will be cops..sometimes they catch you for something you deserve to be caught for, and other times they are just being dinks.

 

I guess that means that I will go to jail in texas for carrying wire cutters in my saddle bags, its a law still on the books and by you cops should enforce all laws. Dont be dumb you know cops pick and choose what laws to enforce.

You can carry a gun, but you can't carry wire cutters to be used for cutting wire, at say your work place?

 

That was there for range acts and cattle rustling on horse back. Cutting fences and allowing cattle out was to prevent cattle theft.

That has not been a priority for state legislature to go through action and take it off the books.

 

You don't agree that cops enforce some laws and not others. Going by what he said they enforce EVERY law that would include the one that I stated. He is wrong, some get enforced and others don't.

yeah but according to you guys cops should give tickets for everything....cops should be using their time with real crimes...not window tint, tinted tails, loud sound systems and exhausts....there was a guy on here who got a ticket awhile back for no mudflaps and no fender flares...i mean a line needs to be drawn at what is a ridiculous ticket....whether i have an offroad or not according to him any modified exhaust system is illegal...nonetheless so is tints etc....its ridiculous...go anywhere like the city or anything and cops have REAL CRIMES to deal with and could care less about these petty things

 

Write your congressman, they make the laws. The police just enforce them, and they are just the messenger, don't shoot the messenger.
